REPORTS IN THE WESTERN MEDIA ABOUT THE KILLING OF ALEXANDER ZAKHARCHENKO

The world press reported abot the terrorist attack in Donetsk, which killed the head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko.
“Zakharchenko’s murder was the strongest blow to the rebels since the beginning of the war. This tragedy may affect the war in Ukraine as a whole, ” writes the daily Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten.
Italian newspaper La Stampa posted a short note about the terrorist attack in Donetsk and the death of Alexander Zakharchenko, the article quoted the words of the official representative of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Russia Maria Zakharova: “there is reason to believe that the murderer is the Kiev regime.”
In 2014, Mr. Zakharchenko had already been assassinated-then the bomb was planted in his car. The murder was never solved,” recalls The Wall Street Journal, one of the largest American publications.
“The Ukrainian government denies its involvement in the murder of the Zakharchenko, claiming that the cause of the assassination attempt was the struggle between the various groups operating in this self-proclaimed Republic. The death of Mr. Zakharchenko is unlikely to significantly change the Ukrainian conflict, which has lasted for more than four years and resulted in the death of more than 10 thousand people.
The death of the militia leader is likely to further complicate negotiations between Russia and the United States on the Ukrainian conflict,” the newspaper writes.
“According to the UN, since the beginning of clashes between separatists and Ukrainian government troops, more than 10,000 people have died in this conflict, and more than 1.5 million people have become refugees. Numerous attempts by the international community to ensure a sustainable truce in Eastern Ukraine have not been successful, ” the Guardian, a British daily, reports.
“Zakharchenko’s death showed that the Ukrainian government decided to take part in a bloody struggle. In addition, it had violated his promise to seek a peaceful settlement of the situation,” – said in an article published on the German Internet portal Deutsche Wirtschafts Nachrichten.
