TEHRAN RESPONDS THE CHALLENGE

The world community is once again convinced that teasing Iran is a bad idea and threats of Americans to Tehran – pose a lot of trouble for numerous actors. Thus, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced its readiness to close the Strait of Hormuz oil transportation to other countries if the United States prohibits the import of Iranian black gold.
“If the export of Iranian oil is restrained, we will not allow oil to be exported to other countries of the world via the Strait of Hormuz,” said Ismail Kousari, deputy chief of the IRGC “Sarala” rate. Such a promise is a real catastrophe, considering that 20% of all world oil transportation passes through this site and the Iranians are serious.
The patience of the Iranian government was overwhelmed by the recent statement by Brian Hook, Director of the Political Planning Department of the US State Department, that Washington will try to convince its allies to completely abandon the purchase of oil in Iran by early November. Such discussions are al-ready being conducted with other countries, including China. All this against the backdrop of the promised sanctions should seriously undermine the Iranian economy. In response, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani stated that he considers the US desire to stop the export of Iranian oil unreal.
“In my opinion, the words of some American officials about the desire to reduce Iran’s exports to zero are just chatter that will never be realized,” Hassan Rouhani stated, adding that there is a program in Iran that will upset all Washington’s plans on this matter.
Obviously, if Tehran decides to close the Strait of Hormuz, and these are not empty promises, then oil prices will rise sharply, as the parties buying oil will expect its deficit.
