Kurds have suffered from the Turks and asked for help from Syria

Members of the Kurdish armed People’s Self-Defense Forces (YPG) are in favor of joining Syria’s army to the city of Afrin and its environs, where Turkey is currently conducting a military operation. This was told to Al Mayadeen by the representative of the formation.
According to the interlocutor of the TV channel, the Syrian troops will wait in Afrin within the framework of the agreement between the parties. He added that the YPG in the city took up arms for the sake of self-defense: they do not consider the government of Syria as an enemy and do not intend to create their own state on the territory of the country.
“We just want to be part of the political process in Syria, and our weapons will be handed over to the government after a political settlement,” the Kurdish representative said. He added that YPG was never part of an international coalition led by the United States and did not receive support from it.
There was no official statement from the formation.
Earlier it became known that Ankara intends to expand its military operation “Olive Branch”, directed against the Kurds, and withdraw it from the limits of Afrina. On January 23, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that the operation in the city would continue until all Kurdish formations were destroyed. It was later reported that at least 260 of their members had been liquidated.
Turkey announced the beginning of the operation “Olive Branch” on January 20. The militants help the Syrian Free Army. Ankara considers members of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) and its armed People’s Self-Defense Forces (YPG) as terrorists.
The Syrian authorities claimed that they regard any attack by the Turkish military on the Kurdish formations as an act of aggression and a violation of international law. They also promised to shoot down the Turkish fighters.
This is the situation when it is difficult to understand who will be the next party who stab you in the back…
