The U.S. CENTCOM commented on reports of civilian casualties in the air strikes in Syria

The Central command of the US Armed forces (CENTCOM) commented on reports about the death of civilians after the air strikes of coalition on 16 September in Syria.

“On September 16, the coalition performed one  airstrike near the Syrian al-Mayadine, which was aimed on tactical units of ISIS, destroyed one of the ISIS boats” — said in CENTCOM.

It is noted that the information about possible losses among the civilian population would be further assessed.

“Joint operations “Operation Inherent Resolve” (CJTF-OIR) takes very seriously allegations of civilian casualties and carefully evaluates all incidents. Coalition forces make every effort to be accurate in the air strikes, and make sure that all the blows were consistent with the Law of armed conflict. We apply strict standards when you hover over the goals and the accompanying extraordinary efforts to protect non-combatants. CJTF-OIR publishes a monthly report on the civilian casualties with the results, undeserving and untrustworthy, as well as to those who are still under evaluation,” the statement says.

As reported before by the news Agency SANA, the air strikes of the coalition led by the United States launched near the city of Deir ez-Zor killed 12 civilians.
