In the Eastern part of Damascus, the Syrian army and its allies try to occupy the area of Abu Khashba.
On Wednesday, with the aim to shut down the trap and surround the controlled by US-backed militants area to the South of the airbase al-Sin, government troops advanced into the territory to the South from the village of Ar-Rahba
If the government forces clear the area of Abu Khashba and the located West of it trap of fighters, they will significantly reduce the length of the front line in the South-East of Syria and carry out another important step in the isolation of the US-controlled garrisons on the border with Iraq.
According to loyal to fighters sources, acting on the South-Eastern of Syria supported by the United States, the group Mahavir Jaish al-Thawra refused to fight together with another US-backed formation of SDF. Mahavir Jaish al-Thawra, presumably, denied that they plan to shift its forces to the area of Shaddadi in the Northern Syrian province of Hasaka, and participate with SDF in expected offensive by US-backed forces in Deir ez-Zor.
Earlier this month, there was a report that the US are going to build garrison in the area of Shaddadi, which they plan to use as a base for conducting operations against ISIS in the province of Deir ez-Zor.
