Saakashvili will come up for Hague Tribunal
The Prosecutor of the International criminal court in Hague has taken the decision to initiate the investigation of the August 2008 events in South Ossetia.
After studying the materials provided by the Russian side, it was decided that during the conflict there were committed a number of war crimes, and the central figure of the investigation could become the head of the Odessa, the former President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili.
The former Deputy Chairman of the PACE Monitoring Committee from Georgia Elene Tevdoradze has emphasized that the
materials of the investigation may bring Saakashvili to responsibility for the conflict, in which case he can face 30 years in prison or life sentence.
