The situation risks to escalate up to the Third world war, said the representative of the DPR
Conflict can lead to a major war not only on the territory of Donbass, said the representative of the DPR Denis Putilin on the talks in Minsk.
“The situation may escalate up to the Third world war. Naturally, all of this impacts on us in real time,” he said.
At any time the situation may change, move to the active phase, said Putilin. Peaceful settlement either will, or will not work, said the representative of DPR.
“Time will tell on is it possible to use entirely the tiny chance of a peaceful solution of the conflict through the Minsk. It’s fact that we should do everything possible and work hard,” concluded Denis Pushilin.
Previously Pushilin told journalists that the region is on the verge of a major war, the situation may worsen in the near future. In his opinion, the conflict ceased to be domestic and is the same to the conflict in Syria, Yemen and Macedonia. Resolving the conflict may take several years, said the representative of DPR. For its part, the Donbass is doing everything possible to reduce tensions, but there is not symmetrical response from Kyiv, said Putilin.
Last week the representatives of LPR and DPR transferred proposals to the Constitution of Ukraine to the contact group, according to which certain areas of Donbass will remain an integral part of Ukraine under certain conditions.
Armed conflict in the South-East of Ukraine began in April 2014.
